Happy New Years Kpop World!
We're more than half way into January of the new year with many interesting events that have occurred. New couples appearing, new groups debuting, Youtubers interacting with their kpop biases, and me becoming a new blogger.
So, recently the new boy group GOT7 debuted January 15, 2014. There's been lots of anticipation for this new JYP group since they appeared on Who Is Next: WIN back in September. Though, personally, I don't like the fact that their agency says that they're the "post-2PM." Anyways, much talk has been circulating through social media about their looks, acrobatics, aegyo, endorsement deals, and new fans.
If you've been living under a rock isolated from technology this past week, there's been another fanwar going on. This time it's between EXO stans, ex-EXO stans, and the new GOT7 stans. It all started from a rumor stating:
"EXO's fan cafe has dropped from 307971 people to 118552."
''EXO fans left EXO because of GOT7"
The EXO stans started blaming and hating on GOT7 for "stealing" EXO's fans. Others are directly bashing the ex-EXO stans, but the problems didn't end there. Some people even had the audacity to compare both groups.
"GOT7 is better than EXO"
"GOT7 is cuter than EXO"
"GOT7 is more handsome than EXO"
"GOT7 is hotter than EXO"

1- They are sexier
Mind you, these are all the immature fans in both fandoms making these simple-minded and ridiculous statements. There are even some mature fans getting dragged into this stupid war trying to shut both of them up, myself included. But our efforts only fuel the ongoing fire that will probably never be put out.
Throughout all of this, there were so many questions that went through my mind when my Twitter timeline was filled with the news.
If there really were some EXO stans who left to join GOT7, why leave when you could just add GOT7 to your fandom list. There's no need to leave. It's like they forgot why they liked EXO in the first place. Do these people have any loyalty whatsoever? Well, I guess not because they left, but these people are seriously acting like kindergartners. They're acting like the kid who says, "I like vanilla pudding" and the next day he says, "I hate vanilla pudding. Strawberry jello's the best!" Can't they just grow up and like both?! What's so hard about being multi-fandom, anyways?
How does someone leave a fandom for another?
These people are just lying to themselves in only liking one group. They're completely missing out on the REAL experience of kpop music.
The EXO fandom has a bad rep because of their immature fans and crazy sasaengs that's known throughout the kpop world (just know I will never call those psycho bitches fans). But if there are immature fans leaving the EXO fandom and entering the GOT7 fandom, what will become of this new community? I know how frustrated many EXO stans get for being hated on because of some idiotic people in their community making statements without any strong evidence to support them.
How can someone actually believe that more than 100,000 EXO fans left to GOT7's fancafe?
Last I checked there was a little over 7,000 members at GOT7's fancafe. So what happened to the other 97,000+ EXO fancafe members? People need to get their facts straight and stop making these shortsighted accusations. I read that there was a statistical error in EXO's fancafe, but I'm not certain if there was a glitch in the system saying there was 118,552 members currently or that there was never really 307,971 members in EXO's fancafe. If someone actually has the real details about this, let me know.
Will the GOT7 fandom become like EXO's?
EXO "fans" dissing other groups, especially their sunbaes, is going WAY over the line! Don't they know that EXO respects their sunbaes and have looked up to them for several years? These people are practically looking down on EXO's role-models.
GOT7 could have these types of fans and unloyal ones as well. They'll all eventually move onto "the next pretty object" just like what happened to EXO, Super Junior, and DBSK.
I'm still puzzled as to how someone can automatically hate EXO, GOT7, or any group because of the fandom. Best advice I can give is: "Don't hate the group because of idiotic people."
As for the new GOT7 stans that are making these stupid statements about how GOT7 is better than EXO is just.... I don't know. I'm just in complete shock that someone could even think of posting something like this.
- GOT7 just debuted. They barely wet their feet in the kpop ocean, so we still don't know if they'll sink or swim yet. We just have to wait and see how they'll do as time passes.
- EXO is GOT7's sunbae, so GOT7 stans better respect EXO! I still don't know how some people still consider EXO as rookies.
As far as I know, JYP fandoms are peaceful or at least has less drama going on. But if these new GOT7 stans keep making stupid comments, they'll go down the same road as the EXO fandom. People are already looking down upon the GOT7 fandom. Not the best way to start first impressions.
Better Future
I just hope this blows over fast and ends in good terms. Or at least find these trolls and give them a severe bitch-slapping for starting this war. There needs to be some type of system to track the source of these comments or nip them at the bud and not let them spread.
One can only hope, right?

ARGHHHH....how could people does all of this phsychotic things....?they should respect both fandom,in order for them to support both groups peacefully..Well,we really can't avoid all of these people..sometimes people do this things for their fame,but they just dont know how their idols will think about this..well,this is so unfair for international fans like me..we wait and wait and wait for their comebacks but the thing is the fan who are so near to the place their idols are don't treat them well.
And I think,we shouldn't open up this kind of topic,especially south korea is currently experiencing one of their loneliest tradegy that has happened to them...lets just pray south korea to be in a good situation right now...

Je ne comprend pas pourquoi les sois-disant "Fan" de Baekhyun ne sont pas heureux pour lui. C'est un comportement que je ne comprend pas. Juste par ce qu'il sors avec une fille sa y est on ne l'aime plus! Mais c'est quoi sa?! Baekhyun en changera ni de personnalité, ni de voix, ni de professionnalisme et d'amour envers ces fans juste par ce qu'il sors avec une fille! Laissez le c'est un homme comme tous le monde! Et l’empêcher d'aimer la personne qu'il aime ne fera de vous que des petit monstre (avec des yeux globuleux tous bizarre :p ). Quitter le Fandom d'Exo juste par ce que Baekhyun sors avec quelqu'un c'est nul. Vous devriez aimez Baekhyun pour sa voix et sa danse, son comportement, ou même de temps en temps par ce qu'il est beau (faux l'avouer) Mais ne le détester pas par ce qu'il veut vivre une vie normal! Si vous êtes vraiment une fan féliciter le! Encourager le pour pouvoir supporter toute les personne qui l'insulte a cause de cela! Protéger aussi sa petite amie! Et là il vous en sera surement reconnaissant! Et là vous pourrez dire que vous êtes une Fan de Exo! Et de Baekhyun! En attendant j'ai que une phrases a dire! "Courage Baekhyun!
